    Negative savings considered harmful

A few people have been asking how much I’m saving now that my photovoltaic solar system is on. Well, so far, no matter how you slice it, I’ve not saved anything. In fact, it is costing me money.
I will try to keep this Google spreadsheet showing Gordy’s Solar Savings up to date with the [...]

    Older then Sesame Street

Google just informed me I’m older than Sesame Street. I’m not really sure how to take that. I mean, I grew up with Sesame Street, but I didn’t realize I grew up with Sesame Street.

    Gordy and a Van

For whatever reason, this year the number of students who can’t drive significantly outnumbers those who can. And, of those few who can, unlike years past, even fewer are willing/able/permitted to help out their non-driving peers (for some, it almost seems like a insurmountable burden, which is unfortunate, because for quite some time, they were [...]

    Cingular isn’t your parent’s AT&T

So, after about 5 years of great service from AT&T something changed about two months ago (October 2004). I had started calling my friend Jeremy in Fresno, and realized I was getting close to my 400 min/month. So, I called up the friendly folks at AT&T and explained my dilemma. Well, turns out I qualified [...]
