My Gabby went with Cornerstone this year. They had the same theme at the San Diego camp for Junior Highers so Noah went there. I hear it was amazing.

so the theme at hume lake ponderosa this year (the summer camp i just went to) was "hey rube!" and it had to do with clowns and mimes. back when traveling circuses were very popular, when the clowns were setting up their tents and had a dispute with the townspeople, they'd all get in a fist fight. if the clown(s) were outnumbered, they'd shout "hey rube!!" to get other clowns to come and join the fight. so hey rube is like a call to action. a call to take your faith and do something with it. stop making justifications like the two guys who didn't do what the good samaritan did. know who i mean? the two churchy guys who walked by a guy truly in need. they passed up doing something morally right to follow all the stupid rules they made about cleanliness and having to get where they were going. so hey rube was about going beyond those excuses and reaching out to people in need. :D i thought it was cool. you should take all your kids to hume lake next year!
