Jared suggested I just call and see if they would rescind the promo’s I accepted back in October. After get the customer representative (turns out after dialing 611, you *hold* 0, not press it repeatedly), I explaining my plight. Long story short, I now have a new plan, that has over 1000 minutes (some are just 1 year promotional), and free long distance. I really, really hope that a month from now, I’m not going to be disappointed.

Not that this matters, but, the plan is called “TDMA Local 49.99″ and comes with 600 minutes. She added the following options: Free Long Distance, Free Nights and Weekends, +450 minutes (carry over promo), unlimited local mobile to mobile (carry over promo). Unlike the dweeb I called Friday, she credited my account for the long distance that I shouldn’t have had to pay in the first place. And most importantly, she didn’t make me have to get a new phone; I like my Panasonic DuraMax brick of a phone.
